About / Eddie Bryant
A Life in Motion
I’m drawn to places that ask me to pay attention: beneath the water, in the sky, and wherever there is something new to learn.
Hi, I’m Eddie. I earned my first scuba certification in Costa Rica while on R&R from Afghanistan. Since 2010, I’ve built years of experience as a diver and PADI instructor. I bring a considered approach to every dive while staying curious, refining my skills, and finding new ways to understand the underwater world.
01 / My story
The journey is the point.
I’ve followed interests that sometimes look far apart on paper: military service, diving, underwater photography, skydiving, marine technology, and emergency management. To me, they share a thread of preparation, curiosity, and people looking after one another.
I built this site to make it easy to ask about scuba instruction and explore photographs from my time underwater.
02 / Diving background
Below the surface since 2010.
I’m a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with specialty instructor qualifications. My background also includes technical and scientific diving experience. College study in diving business gave me a wider view of the planning, operations, and care behind a day in the water. Teaching and learning both matter to me; neither stops at the certification card.
The Florida Keys are my favorite place to dive, and wreck diving is my favorite type of diving. I’m drawn to the history and changing life on wrecks, and to the planning, teamwork, and care these dives call for.
03 / Education
Experience and curiosity.
Formal study has given me new ways to understand the water and the people who work around it. I earned both associate degrees at the College of the Florida Keys in August 2026, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management at Northern Arizona University.

04 / Military background
Service shaped my perspective.
I’m a U.S. Army veteran. My service included a deployment to Iraq, and I was awarded a Purple Heart and an Army Commendation Medal with Valor. Afterward, I also worked in security-related roles in Kuwait and Afghanistan.
Those experiences are part of my story, though they are not the whole of it. They helped shape how I think about responsibility, preparation, and the people beside me.

06 / Beyond diving
Above the water, too.
I’ve made approximately 300 skydives and traveled to more than two dozen countries. Travel, adventure, and continuing education all feed the same curiosity that first took me underwater. I’m interested in the experience itself and in what it can teach me afterward.
07 / Underwater photography
Looking closer.
Photography gives me a reason to pause. I’m drawn to wrecks and underwater structures, the presence of other divers, and the details of marine environments. The images here are my own, and each one can be requested as a print or digital image.
