From Student to Instructor
Scuba Instructor Training and Dive Medicine Instructor gave my years of learning a new purpose: helping other people prepare well.
In Summer 2026, I completed Scuba Instructor Training and Dive Medicine Instructor training at the College of the Florida Keys. I passed the PADI Instructor Examination on June 25, 2026. Those milestones asked me to connect diving knowledge with clear communication, careful preparation, and the responsibility that comes with teaching.
My PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor qualification is a milestone, but becoming a better instructor is ongoing work. A good lesson should meet a student where they are, build confidence through practice, and make safety part of every decision.
I want students to leave training with more than a card. I hope they carry sound habits, respect for the water, and the confidence to keep learning long after the course ends.
