Ready to Help When It Matters
Emergency First Response certifications in CPR and first aid, including care for children, strengthened the safety side of my diving work.
In February 2025, I completed Emergency First Response training in primary care and care for children. CPR, AED, and first-aid skills are useful well beyond a dive boat; they are practical tools for being ready to help when someone needs it.
In Summer 2026, I completed Dive Medicine Instructor training at the College of the Florida Keys. It connected emergency-response education with my path into professional diving and instructor work.
Safety training has become part of how I approach diving and teaching. It encourages people to recognize when something is wrong, communicate clearly, and take appropriate action while professional help is arranged.
I continue to build on that foundation through emergency-response instruction and dive-focused safety education, while keeping training current and within the scope of my qualifications.
